I love the colors of this yarn (Aslan Trends Santa Fe) in citrus orchard — I even love the NAME! — but the yarn just isn’t soft enough for me to make a scarf or hat out of, so this cozy was perfect. It’s in the colors of my kitchen, and I love tea. so anyway, I used this cool pattern from the UK from the 1940s that called for a double layer all around stitched together (outside and lining) and I realized that level of cold protection just isn’t necessary in the desert southwest! it must have been really chilly without central heat in post WWII England. I can’t imagine. isn’t it cute how the button of the lid sticks out?
