Finally!!! down here in the southwest, fall comes slowly but it’s a beautiful, albeit subtle, season. But it’s been in the 50s at night and only in the 70s by day, so that means it’s fall time and time to drag out the maple leaf quilt I made 10 years or more ago, for my dh one Christmas, and put it on the bed. I LOVE this time of year!!
There’s something so comforting about the cycle of seasons, the days growing longer and then shorter, the rituals that define our lives in each season, the cues we look for in the natural world. It’s a constant in a changing world, and it gives me joy. Just as wearing socks now gives me joy.
